Susan A. Wolffe

Susan concentrates her practice in the preparation and prosecution of both U.S. and foreign patent applications, with an emphasis on chemical and pharmaceutical technologies. Susan’s experience in the wood products industry includes working with resins for use in particle board, plywood and other related wood products. Susan’s skills encompass rendering written opinions and counseling clients on patent related matters and she has represented clients in patent litigation. She presently works with a spectrum of clients ranging from large companies to individual inventors.

Prior to entering law school, Susan built a solid foundation for her future in intellectual property law as a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Special Laws Administration Group. During her four years in this capacity, she gained extensive knowledge as an examiner. She screened patent applications for potential national security information and property rights, and performed system analyses of the then newly automated patent system.
