Elizabeth (Eliza) Yang

Eliza is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Baltimore Law School (UB Law). She serves on the leadership board as a treasurer for the Korean American Intellectual Property Bar Association (KAIPBA) and is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Student Association (IPLSA) at UB Law.

Before joining Banner & Witcoff, Eliza was a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In that capacity, she examined patent applications for Computerized Vehicle Controls and Navigation, Radio Wave, Optical and Acoustic Wave Communication, Robotics, and Nuclear Systems. She has received several accolades from the Office of Patent Quality Assurance (OPQA) for the work she has completed as a patent examiner. Prior to attending law school, Eliza was a technical lead electrical engineer in propulsion and power for naval aircraft under the Department of Defense.

If she is not working or studying, you can find her managing her small portfolio of investment properties, training for USA Powerlifting (USAPL) competitions, hiking new trails with her dog, or attending dinner clubs with her friends.
